Champions Online is free-to-play action­-packed super-hero MMORPG created by the same studio behind City of Heroes. If you’ve ever wanted to play out your favorite comic book scenes in the form of an MMO, then Champions Online might be just what you’re looking for. Developed by Cryptic Studios and published by Perfect World Entertainment, Champions Online lets you take to the streets of Millennium City to defeat evil villains, like Dr. Destroyer or nemesis you’ve created yourself. In Champions Online you’ll design your own hero, creating a costume from thousands of individual costume pieces, for a hero that is truly unique to you. You can also customize colors and body types ­ the possible combinations are seemingly endless. Once your character has been customized to your liking, you’ll be able to battle against the evil forces the world across and even into alternate dimensions. There isn’t any other MMO that offers players the chance to explore such diverse realms ­ from shining skyscrapers in Millennium City to the frozen wastelands of Canada and the underwater city of Lemuria. There is even the foul, mystical dimension known as Qliphothic and the tormented Vibora Bay. Your hero will defeat countless villains, but don’t worry ­ you’ll still have even more lurking in the shadows when you’re done. The villains you will come up against are plentiful, and range in type from your average run of the mill super villain to aliens, giant monsters and members of secret and sinister organizations. You see, Doctor Destroyer is launching a new plan to conquer the world, VIPER lurks in the shadows, the ancient Lemurians are plotting a return to power and the Mechanon won’t stop until it has wiped all organic life from the face of the planet.
