Mya of the Desert

Mya of the Desert is a Puzzle Platforming game where you use earth manipulating powers, or Geomancy, to overcome obstacles, solve puzzles, and defeat foes. Elevate pillars of earth and bend rocks to your will as Mya, a desert wanderer, as she returns life to the world around her!Embark on a journey to restore life to a world plagued by entropy. Traverse the landscape as Mya, a desert wanderer, in order to return the spirits of the Geomancers to their sacred mosaic. Gifted with the power of the Geomancers by the mosaic’s guardian spirit, Mya will elevate pillars of earth and bend rocks to her will to overcome the obstacles of the desert, solve the puzzles within the Geomancers’ abandoned temples, and overcome the Golem that’s been awoken by the decaying mosaic!

Mya of the Desert is a Puzzle Platforming game with an emphasis on using earth manipulation abilities to solve environmental puzzles. Made by graduate students at the University of Utah’s EAE program, this thesis project represents two years of learning.

• Learn the Powers of the Geomancers: Extrude pillars of earth from the ground! Pickup and throw rocks from a great distance, or ride those babies for miles!
  
• The Desert Awaits: Explore an open world desert, dotted with the remains of temples once inhabited by both the Geomancers and their betrayer!
  
• Save the Mosaic: Life has drained from the desert ever since the sacred mosaic was first broken. Collect the spirits shaken loose, now scattered throughout the desert to return life to the world around you!
