Released in 2004, Metin 2 is a classic free to play 3D MMORPG with a retro feel to it. If you are someone that loves playing MMORPG games with friends, but doesn’t care much for all the extra fluff that is in most MMO’s today, then Metin 2 is right up your alley. Metin2 prides itself in its minimalistic style of gameplay, constantly grinding by killing massive amounts of enemies in order to obtain high level items. Some may call that type of gameplay repetitive and boring, but others will sigh in relief for finally finding what they were looking for. If you are someone that is looking to get into more complexed MMO’s, but are overwhelmed by the amount of complexity, then Metin 2 will be a great place for you to start. Another great aspect of Metin 2 is its low system requirements. If you have a functional computer or laptop that was made in the past ten years, regardless of its specs, you shouldn’t have a problem running this game. In Metin 2, you have the choose between five classes, Warrior, Ninja, Sura, Wolfman or Shaman. Besides the Wolfman, every class has two subclasses you can specialize in, allowing for customization based on your play-style. Metin 2’s gameplay is pretty standard, which is how its simplicity shines. Complete quests for NPCs, defeat massive mobs of enemies, which grant you EXP and gold, wipe rinse repeat. Metin2’s story is also simple, yet captivating at the same time. At one point, there was a single empire on a whole continent, and life was peaceful for its citizens, until a treacherous disease shattered the illusion of security that the people relied on. This disease caused the dead to rise again as the undead, and after a while the number of undead became staggering. Due to this, the kingdom split into three, each becoming enemies while fighting desperately against the undead, clinging to their fragile lives. Will you have what it takes to assist your kingdom’s people, and could you possibly help bring balance to your world? Start playing Metin 2 and find out for yourself!
