America’s Army: Proving Grounds is a free to play military online FPS game. Take a first person shooter, add in Rules of Engagement and other Army codes, have the game developed by the U.S. Army and you’ve got America’s Army: Proving Grounds. While America’s Army is designed to be a fun game, it also serves as a bit of a recruiting tool for the U.S. Army and adds elements of Army training, core values, and a focus on teamwork to the mix. Detailed environments and diverse maps make America’s Army a very popular free-to-play shooter. Supporting multiple games modes that include 6v6, 12v12, and other game types adds a bit of diversity between each match that keeps players engaged. Securing downed enemies adds to the feel of realism and since points are awarded for actions such a providing cover or suppression fire, America’s Army forces players to rely on the unit as a whole rather than a single player. One lone gunman is not likely to last very long against a team. If you enjoyed the offline games or just want to take a dive into a shooter game with a bit more focus on teamwork and strategy, America’s Army: Proving Grounds has a large enough player base to keep you earning experience and upgrading your tactics and weapons for quite some time.
