Generation Zero

Generation Zero is an exhilarating open-world game made and published by Avalanche Studios. Enter the reimagined world of 1980's Sweden where deadly machines invaded the countryside. Man is no longer the apex predator, as the metal overlords now walk these lands as rulers. But, defeat is not an option, and by utilizing devastating guerrilla tactics, humans are able to cripple and utterly destroy the machines in thrilling and inventive sandbox skirmishes that you can play alone or with a couple of friends. Generation Zero is first and foremost a tactical game. You can't just start shooting at a machine and expect it to fall down. No, the only way to take these things down is to combine your special skills in smart ways, revive any allies that get caught out, use elaborate tactics to outmaneuver the enemy, and then share the loot once the machine is no longer moving. Each hostile machine found in the world of Generation Zero is persistently simulated, and they roam the land with a purpose. Players are able to inflict permanent damage on these machines which can be seen if you face that same enemy again later down the line. The scars that you inflict by damaging their armor, weapons, or sensory equipment will stay with them until you put them down for good. Generation Zero features an extensive open world beautifuly rendered with the Apex engine, a full day/night cycle that comes with changeable weather, smart AI behavior that makes each enemy unpredictable and dangerous, simulated ballistics and a vibrant 1980's soundtrack to fully immerse the player into the game world.
