Realism in video games is an interesting subject, for how can video games embody the realism of the real world? Yet, there are those who strive for realism, and it makes a better game. Take for example, Arma 2. This is a military combat simulation title, and everything in it has been made to reflect how it looks and feels in the real world. From how the guns look, the firing rate and style, how the bullets bounce off of objects, everything has been put in to ensure accuracy. In fact, this is the simulation armies all over the world use when training soldiers at times. So you know it's accurate if they're using it. Arma 2 puts you in the midst of a fictional ex-Soviet Union state. One that is 225 square kilometers in size. If that sounds big, it is, and you have the freedom to go through all of it. There is a war going on, but it's not as simple as you might think. You are tasked with keeping the people in it safe, as well as ensuring control doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Through your actions, you'll determine how the people view you, and that can be the true factor in deciding victory or defeat. The story Arma 2 will feature twists and turns that'll leave you speechless, all the while delivering intense and unpredictable combat at every turn. And of course, there's multiplayer, where 50 player battles can happen. So, are you ready to join up?
